Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Assemble App ("Assemble," "we," "us," or "our"), created by Jakub Awieruk. By creating an account or using the Assemble mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Assemble is a squad coordination app for competitive gamers. It helps you organize gaming sessions with your teammates through guilds, squads, and a multi-channel notification escalation system. The Service includes the Assemble mobile app, the Assemble Discord Bot, and the website at theassembleapp.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Assemble. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have a parent or guardian's consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at support@theassembleapp.com.

4. Notification Escalation System

Assemble's core feature is a multi-channel escalation system that can deliver notifications via push notifications, email, SMS, and automated voice calls. By enabling any of these channels, you acknowledge and consent to receiving communications through them when a gaming session requires your response.

You are always in full control of your notification preferences. You choose which channels are active, at which escalation round they activate, and you can set quiet hours. No other user — including guild owners or squad admins — can override your notification settings.

Standard messaging and data rates from your carrier may apply to SMS and voice call notifications. You can disable any channel at any time from the app settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any purpose other than coordinating gaming sessions and related communication
• Abuse, spam, or exploit the notification or escalation features
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in any illegal activity
• Circumvent any technical limitations or security measures of the Service
• Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Guilds, Squads, and User Content

You may create guilds and squads, invite members, and initiate sessions. As a guild owner or squad admin, you are responsible for how you configure your groups. Content you create (display names, session descriptions, etc.) must comply with these Terms. We do not claim ownership of your content, but you grant us a limited license to display and transmit it as needed to operate the Service.

7. Discord Integration

Assemble offers optional integration with Discord. By connecting your Discord account or adding the Assemble Bot to a server, you also agree to the Discord Bot Terms of Service. The Discord integration is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.

8. Subscriptions and Pricing

Assemble offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Plus, Pro) with additional features. Subscription details, pricing, and billing terms are presented at the time of purchase within the app. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and their respective refund policies apply.

9. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make reasonable efforts to keep Assemble operational but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate breaking changes in advance.

10. Intellectual Property

The Assemble name, logo, design, and all associated materials are the property of Jakub Awieruk. You may not use our branding or intellectual property without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Assemble and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages from missed notifications, failed escalations, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for use of the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Assemble and its creator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your profile data, authentication credentials, and notification tokens are removed. Some data (e.g., your past session responses visible to other group members) may persist in anonymized or aggregated form. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Poland.
